An ideal form of temporary / semi permanent type of structure for use in woodlands is the Mongolian style yurt.

These are made from an internal lattice structure -

With a pole roof and top light or smoke hole

A custom made heavy weight canvass cover is applied over the top of the yurt structure to create a cozy dwelling.
