Louise Bainbridge is the founder of the OWG ladies team and she spyed this piece of ogee larch lying in the timber bone yard. She immediatly recognised the potential to turn this into an artistic bee post hotel.

Note the varying hole diameters employed to accomodate different sized bees and bugs.

The post is not yet finished with some metalwork still to be added.

In due course the post will be tilted slightly forwards so that rain water does not collect in the various bug chambers and maybe a wedge shaped hat might be added to help shed rainwater.

Those that are eagle eyed will notice if this post is rotated through 90 degrees counter clockwise then the holes form the word "Wild"

What is the likelihood of woodpeckers using this as a bird feeder ?
