Now that Autumn is here and the rain has returned an explosion of toadstools and fungii has taken place in the woodland.

The following fungii were seen in mid October 2013 :-

on a fallen birch log :-

and emerging from the woodland duff in a predominately larch wood.

Sandra Parkinson advises that a typical toadstool that grows under Larch is Suillus grevillei (Larch Bolete). This toadstool is yellow to orange and has pores underneath, not gills.

Can anyone identify the first and confirm the identification of the second please ?
