In 1933 Pathe News recorded a picture of 2 cottages on the A33 Basingstoke to Reading road.

In 2014 these cottages were seen to be in a sorry state.

Later that year the cottages sported a new thatched roof

These cottages comprise 2 separate timber-frames that butt up to one and other. The cottage on the right is probably the older cottage (1.5 storey - open hall ?) with the one on the left originally built full height (2 storey floored).

Sadly it is no longer possible to walk or ride along this very busy road especially with a pack of dalmation dogs (see right hand side of 1933 pic).
