It's that time of year when toadstools and mushrooms abound and this year they are prolific as a result of the very wet autumn.

These fungi are emerging in multitude from a beech tree stump.. What kind of fungi is it ?

Some colourful and exotic fungii have emerged in early October 2025 including :-

- growing on a mixture of willow and hazel wood chip. This could be Magpie Toadstool (Coprinus picaceus) or possibly Lawyers Wig / Shaggy Inkcap (Coprinus comatus).

- on an oak stump could be Common Bonnet (Mycena galericulata) ?

-on a beech stump could be Sulphur Tuft (Hypholoma fasciculare).

Can anyone confirm the above suggestions ?
