I have been advised by David Rees (past Oxfordshire Woodland Project Manager) that one of the previous Oxfordshire Woodland Group Trustees - John Wilmer has recently died.

There will be a thanks giving service in St Mary's Church in Bampton during September 2014 and further details regarding same can be obtained from funeral directors E Taylor & Son (01993 842421).

John was a long time trustee of the Woodland Group and kept his fellow trustees amused and agog at his prowess in obtaining grants for all sorts of land based schemes. John is survived by his son Charles of Friars Court, Clanfield.
