The cruck building course leaders are Henry Russell and Barbara Czoch.

The cruck frame will have open sides to the front and each end with a fully framed rear wall.

The main gable end posts are made with jowl tops that lock together with the tie beam and wall plate to form an English Tying joint.

The rafter feet sit on top of the wall plate which runs along the full length of the building with this being made up from two long straight timber that are "scarf" jointed together.

The wall plate timber is Grand Fir and a ring count reveals that this is 40 years old.

The front wall frame is trial assembled to make sure that all of the parts fit snuggly together.
