Compare and contrast an open hall cruck common rafter roof (approx 570 yrs old) with a similar construction new cruck roof.

We have built a new cruck frame using the old technique however we had not anticipated that the new ridge would become become a glis glis highway !!!

Back in 2019 the glis glis were content with living in a slabwood pile -

but have since upgraded to making a nest in the space above the cruck blade apex.

We have observed that the glis glis is adept at raiding wasps nests hanging from the roof.
