Is this a Pine Martin or Pole Cat ? A useful guide to differentiating between Mustalids is available from the Vincent Wildlife Trust.

We recently found the half eaten remains of a grey squirrel under the tarpaulin covering our cruck timber-frame and wonder if this type of animal might predate same ?
