Andrew Jarvis has been awarded an Oxfordshire Woodland Group Fellowship for his services to small woodland owners and to the thatching and fencing crafts.

Andrew is seen in the woodland receiving a Wetterlings broad axe from the OWG Trustees in recognition of his efforts and he will use this to hew logs, cleave shingles and pegs and cut joints in timber-framed buildings.

In February 2024 Oxfordshire Woodland Group Fellow Andrew Jarvis was awarded a Masters Degree in Timber Building Conservation by York University. This was gained whilst studying at The Weald and Downland Museum.
Andrew is available to survey, record and make measured building condition surveys & where necessary to undertake or arrange necessary repairs on vernacular listed buildings.
