Brian Williamson director of the National Coppice Federation advises that his group is holding a "Coppice Restoration Event" at Westonbirt Arboretum on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th May 2015.

A fee of £35 is payable by NCFed members and £50 by non members to attend this event.

There would appear to be good potential scope of work and income to be made from producing cleft hazel products as recently discovered by Andrew Jarvis in supplying spars to local thatchers who expressed a preference to use freshly cut local hazel which can more easily be twisted and shaped when compared with imported dry cleft hazel items.
