Spring is now well and truly with us with a plum tree in full blossom seen at roadside.

It is odd to see such a tree growing at the roadside but map research has revealed that this Mirabell plum tree was part of a cottage garden with the cottage having been demolished over 100 years ago and so this might well be a veteran fruit tree that still produces delicious fruit.
