The 2014 Woodland Heritage long weekend field trip will this year be held in Perthshire, Scotland home of the big trees with many of these now routinely topping over 200ft tall.
The visit itinerary includes :-
Fri 13th June - The Hermitage, Craigvinean Forest & The Big Tree Trail, Dunkeld.
Led by Charlie Taylor, the Forest District Manager, who will discuss their Continuous Cover Forestry programme and visitors will see some spectacular trees.
Sat 14th Jun - The Bolfracks Estate, Nr. Aberfeldy.

See forestry on difficult terrain, which has been rewarded by winning the prestigious Hunter Blair Trophy "for silvicultural excellence".
Sun 15th Jun - Murthly Castle, Murthly (morning only)

A two-hour grand finale seeing one of Scotland's finest landscapes. Towering trees in a perfect setting beside the River Tay.
