This remarkable timber-framed house was built shortly after the Black Death nearly halved the population of England.

The box frame would appear to be an addition and / or a replacement of the end bay of the cruck range which is now extends to only 2 bays. It features "saltire" bracing (cross) on front gable.

The upper front room of the box frame is possibly the most tranquil and calm room ever visited.
