Oxfordshire Woodland Group

The Oxfordshire Woodland Group are delighted to report that the PostCode Local Trust is providing financial support for the construction of the OWG Woodland Cruck Barn in South Oxfordshire.

This generous award will help the group to provide opportunities to train aspiring woodland workers and timber-framers and will also involve local community individuals and groups in the building and raising of this traditional local vernacular barn in The Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The barn is being constructed using timber felled and converted in the woodland and thus provides a demonstration on how to build in a truly sustainable manner.
