Another low profile concept timber building has been launched by Hivehaus where the geometric properties employed by bees to make their wax combs has been copied to create hexagonal timber modules that can be combined to create a low height profile building that would be equally at home in a back garden or in a woodland site.

The piece de resistance of this design is it's small modular fold out standalone kitchen unit by Culshaw Bell which I think is bound to become a design classic.

This design concept professes to escape the requirement for the need to obtain planning permission. No prices have yet been provided but will be dependant upon the specification selected.

After HIVEHAUS® was featured on George Clarke's Amazing Spaces TV programme the design concept creator - Barry Jackson has been inundated with enquiries and information requests about HIVEHAUS® which at the end of 2013 is still undergoing design development and product testing with UK production due to begin early in 2014.
