A really useful device to own and use is the "Handy Garden Trolley".

This facilitates firewood that is being cut to size at the horse or on the chopping block to be stacked immediately in an orderly fashion ready for towing to an intermediate or final store.

If rain threatens then a cover can quickly be placed over trolley to keep it and the firewood dry.

The Handy Trolley can hold 8 cu ft (4' x 2' x 1') of cut firewood.
