Alistair Phillips has very kindly donated a narrow stair that will be fitted inside our cruck barn making reaching the upper floor a much safer proposition.

Jahnavi - our architectural designer is working on how the stair will be fitted with handrails to help further improve safety.

The Ali-stair was mocked up to establish how this could be fitted to reach the upper barn floor. The ladder is a bit short to fix from the lower barn floor and gets in the way of the workbench and movement of the sawmill.

We will try remounting it on the upper ground floor.
