Post Use for sawdust?

Hi,

I wonder if sawdust can be put to good use ?

I know that it can be compressed into wood fuel pellets for use in boilers. Steve Roberts told me that he knows someone who burns sawdust in his workshop wood stove but I don't know what type of stove !

I swept out our granary yesterday and to help keep down the dust I first scattered damp sawdust on the floors and used this as the collection medium. This works really well and is a good precautionary safety measure to take especially where rodent poop might be present !

I've heard of the stove that burns sawdust. Apparently it is a steel drum with a perforated central tube, a chimney and controlable vents at the base. I can't remember wether you pack the central perforated tube with the sawdust or the outer, but one fill is supposed to last all day. I have been wrapping sawdust in sheets of newspaper to make bricks and burning them on the stove.
