Oxfordshire Woodland Group

The fourth tallest tree in Britain - a 211ft tall Douglas fir growing beside the river Braan at The Hermitage, Dunkeld in Perthshire, Scotland fell over across the river on Friday the 13th January 2017.

This was not an old tree having achieved this impressive height in just over 100 years i.e. growing at a rate of about 2 ft per year.
