Oxfordshire Woodland Group

Lantern UK Ltd last contacted the Oxfordshire Woodland Group about the launch of the community engagement toolkit that Lantern was working on as part of the Good Woods project. Lantern would now like to let OWG members know about a free demonstration event that Lantern are helping to coordinate in the Chilterns area. This event is being delivered by the Forestry Commission and is designed to demonstrate how rural wood is used by local businesses and how these businesses have been transformed with the help of EU funding. The FC has a range of support available for businesses across the forestry sector and the various events aim to showcase some of this support as well as providing an update as to the status of likely future funding for this sector.

The first event will be taking place on Tuesday 18th November at the HG Matthews brickworks in Bellingdon, Bucks. and this event is free and will include a complimentary lunch for registered attendees.

Lantern is keen to spread the word as far as possible to encourage people to register to attend.
